Austin McCusker


Austin McCusker first stepped foot in a go-kart at the age of 7 and has never stopped since. As he progressed through the ranks Austin obtained club, regional, and national championships in karting. In 2013 Austin acquired his first WKA Manufactures Cup national championship in the Komet Jr. category. Also in 2013 Austin put his feet into a full size formula car; running in the F1600 Championship Series. As 2014 came around Austin drove his way to his second WKA Manufactures Cup national championship in the Senior Piston Port Category. Another acomplishment in 2014 was finishing 2nd at the Skusa Supernationals against some of the highest competition in the world. Austin's car racing continued as well; he began the season racing in the F1600 Championship Series before making the switch to the F2000 Championship Series, towards the end of the season. In 2015 Austin focused primarily on the F2000 Championship Series, where he was able to conquer many top 5 finishes and finish 4th in the final points standings. 2016 was a year where Austin competed in the Usf2000 Series and came home with multiple top 10 finishes in his rookies season. 2017 marked Austin's first National Championship in formula car racing, by winning the SCCA Runnoffs at Indy. Becoming the 2017 Formula Coninental SCCA Runnoffs National Champion! 2018 Austin moved his focus to sports-car racing. Competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge with Forty7 Motorsports in a Norma LMP3 Prototype. Austin went on to finish 2nd in the championship with two wins and two second place finishes to his name. Austin will come back to the IMSA Prototype Challenge series in 2019, back with Forty7 Motorsports in an effort to win the championship
